Whether it's relatives, neighbors, business or government people, the landlord, spiders, crickets, centipedes... the list goes on. We believe it is important where those intrusions take place; at home, the office, some other location or even at the border. But there are borders and then there are borders. Do we regard the border on the north is the same way as that on the south? Or is the border with the oceans or other bodies of water more important? We even place borders overhead to secure our lands from intrusion from the air. We have elected a president who seems to be knocking down walls in many places.

But what about the intruders to our heart;

Deuteronomy 4:9
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. First of all, everything we do doesn't require heat. Heat is just one form of energy. A narrow spectrum of the complete spectrum of electromagnetic energy. For example, tanning doesn't produce any more heat than is already present if you tan by the sun. However, if you cook with charcoal you release carbon to the atmosphere which may have been trapped since the watery birth of our planet. Carbon was present in water vapor and together the volcanic mixture managed to trap infrared radiation within the thick clouds that prevailed before the Great Flood. This flood was known about by many cultures of the world and depictions of it were found in carvings across the globe. We aren't often told by what mechanism our God and Father chose to trigger the flood. However, it seems reasonable that the balance between infrared energy and atmospheric pressure due to the increasing proximity of carbon and h2-O in the clouds feeling the pull of gravity might have something to do with it.

Now if you accept that nothing short of a major cataclysm will strip the atmosphere of its carbon content...Well you might want to ask why certain people seem so bent on putting that stuff up there. Many gases are formed by the reaction of water and carbon. Yet there is only one element that can possibly be eliminated from the equation. You don't have to be a chemist to know that you can't hold all the water vapor in the world in check. There are vast oceans and a big sun causing evaporation constantly. "He that can destroy a thing; controls a thing." thank you Frank Herbert for your insight. However, it's not the worms we need to fear, it's the spice of carbon filling the nostrils of men all over the world. Now that is a dangerous drug.

All we need is some awareness before it is too late. There is too much at stake. Fish are dying. Coral Reef is dying. People are thirsting to death because our water in going to the oceans while heat and a set of simple chemical reaction is favored to generating cool electrical energy with methods that don't require coal or oil or palm oil or peanut oil or corn oil or soybean oil or...

Are you seeing a pattern here? There is sun, wind and rain and even waterfalls if the Lord doesn't tarry.

Genesis 2: 5-7

Robert D. He comes in and dries our eyes, takes our part, and gives us gifts from His own Spirit. He gives us new clothes, feeds us, and gives us a place of our own to live in. If you do you'll find that the average temperature over the last 20 years has been the highest ever. But that's not the convincing part. Many species of wildlife have been adversly effected by the changing climate such as fish and other animals that form a critical link in the chain of life. Notably, Coral reefs as large as the Great Barrier Reef in Australia have been steadily dying. The reason for all the distress is quite straight forward. The increase in the rate of melting ice in glaciers and other ice formations has caused an increase in the flow of fresh water; depleting the frozen reserves of future fresh water. Rivers and streams have suffered a shortage now in source waters and narural erosion has already raised the salinity of the oceans creating an unsafe habitat for many species of ocean life.
Also, ground sources of water have been drying out in the same way that wells dry up in a drought. All these consequences of global thermal increase are leading to one sobering end effect: famine. Of course the world has been facing famine consistently in various places on the earth. However, hunger is now increasing at uprecidented rates so that the areas that still have abundant fresh water can not continue to take up the slack for areas of drought and famine. The only answer to these conditions is to change our focus on energy sources. All energy on earth has its source in the sun. Now methods of generating power to fuel our economy and safeguard our unstable eco-system MUST rely on power sources that don't have heat as a byproduct. You can actually feel the diffence! If you are one of the countless people who are beginning to understand what's at stake there is only one thing that needs to be said: "You're getting warmer."

But the sad thing is that everyone knows instinctively that the heat is coming from the sun no matter what we do. However, if we STOP adding to the problem of converting all our stored energy into heat which would otherwise sit idle as a form of potential energy; then we can be wise stewards over the earth who are wise enough to leave the firewood at home when we are invited to a barbecue. It might make sense to some people to stoke the fire with as much fuel as possible but that is NOT how responsible stewards work safely and efficiently. Leave the extra fuel at home. Maybe you"ll be able to use it later.

For those of you who don't believe Man's contribution to the rise in latent themal energy is significant; there is only one thing to say:

Wake your asses up and stop ignoring the signs. You won't be satisfied with the condition of the earth until all the fresh streams and all the ground water are gone and we're left scrambling to produce enough desalinification resources to provide fresh water for the entire planet. Now if you believe that's possible you probably won't be surprised when all the oil reserves are gone. and we have to clone dinosaurs to bury in the earth. Of course we'll have to wait a million years until they turn into crude oil, pump it back out of the ground and start the refining process all over again.

Now, if you don't share eighty percent of the oil we have after the million years with the countries that didn't clone their own dinosaurs... Well, they'll try to get their own crude somehow. Maybe they will produce their own fuel from plants and other sources like plastic waste and animal excrement and whatever.

You're missing the whole point. The problem is HEAT. All fuel produces heat. That's what it is. That's what it does. Now I know what you'd do then. You'd stare up at the beavens and wait for the clouds to rain just enough to cool down the entire earth sufficiently. It won't work or it already would have. That is the job of radiation. The clouds just hold in radiation and radiation is...

That's right; infrared energy... HEAT!!!

Robert D. Took my daughter a card, though. I have my other daughter's address too. I maybe writing or seeing her soon, also. I got a bench that her children can sit and play on. Maybe they'll have some fun in the yard too. The Canadian Geese are gone now but there are snakes and moles and, well, I don't know about birds. We do have trees and I know they like trees. I am starting early this year to prepare Christmas gifts. I think I know where the Christmas tree is. We used to go outside and find a tree. But I'm not sure if all the kids enjoyed that tradition. The older ones did, I know. I would bring the tree in, usually and Mom would trim it with all the children. How I miss Christmas but it's only September and I have plans. Maybe some fun in the snow, even, No hills I know of close by but there's Frankenmuth. The people there are friendly too. The crickets are chirping and Jaci is singing so low and passionately. I thank God that I have made enough right choices to see us through thus far. Yet not myself for I am a simple man with ever so much help to watch over the place where I walk ever slowly. How could anyone keep the pace? It's like trying to chase the speed of life over an event horizon with your dwelling place held on your back like a turtle. Why try to fight it? You have no control. It's all happening with or without you and will continue for as long as the Lord desires. If we could just find a moment to breath and accept the flow of life washing over us right now and every day of our lives. You can only build so much so fast and then the words of Churchill begin to make sense even if you can't quote them. We have nothing to fear... but the Lord. I'm not quoting scripture, of course. Any fool can see that. I'm just feeling the Spirit.

Robert D. Genetically, we grow and change until it may be difficult to determine if siblings share a common branch of their family tree. This built-in replaning of our genes leads to differences in traits such as stature, hair color, temperment or many other attributes of the individual. Sometimes these differences (particulary temperment) can factor in to the degree of argumentation in a family unit. Questions arise like; "Why is Randy such a pig at the table." or "Why is Timmy so short?" It can be hard at times to see beyond our differences to the common threads that run through all of us. It can be, on occaision, akin to the prejudice between some members of different ethnic groups. Still, if the problem were just due to the differences what does that say about our attitude toward our self. If being alike was the ticket to harmony; then why do we sometimes find ourselves at odds against ourselves? Perhaps the struggle to resolve our differences might be engineered into the master plan. Or, rather, the Master's plan. Maybe we were made different to help us learn to develope tolerance for each other. Just one theory.

Robert D. Sometimes we hide our feelings in a place where someone could get to them if they really wanted to bad enough. I once picked up a scrap of paper that had been tossed aside which read: "Help, I'm holding myself prisoner!". I found the guy who wrote it and tried to render some assistance. I hope it helped. He did perk up a little and started talking a bit. Writing can be like that sometimes. Of course, there are countless ways that people can privish feelings. Most of the time we are held captive by ourselves for many reasons. Like a mother trying to avoid scaring her child or a husband bent on saving his wife some of his own pain. There are a million crazy reasons why you would think that it would be better to be a prisoner rather than release some clue that you are unhappy. I've often thought that guys that blurt things out all the time are the lucky ones. I've seen too many entangle themselves and the ones they love that way. At least, that has been my personal experience. My conclusion; Find some way to communicate with someone before there is a prison break and you wind up increasing your sentence.

Robert D. This takes many forms of expression; sometimes to the point of panic while just trying to find something to do. On the up side, this is a time of creative expression for many even while others find solace in absolutely fruitless activity. One of my outlets used to be playing music and trying to write songs for people to enjoy. I still like music but I now confine myself to singing where nobody can hear me. Writing is quieter and I enjoy the freedom of not being confined by rhythm or participation with other musicians. I find myself inspired by writers like my niece Terri who is writing a blog which features reminiscing of her youth. As a mother with grown children she still remembers intimate details of her grandparents and camp friends as well as those of her home life. In my own writings I have often hoped for a style of writing that can skillfully express the nuances of my memories. I suppose that is why I write fiction sometimes; because it's easier to engineer a story than it is to rely on the accuracy of memory to fuel the material I want to convey. If Microsoft can publish my work I must be doing something right. I'm still not working, though.

Robert D. For one thing, that proves we didn't go there to kill everyone because I believe some are still alive. Judging from the countless car bombs our troops have been plagued with; there were many terrorists there. When I say "were" I'm assuming there isn't just a shortage of explosives to account for the dwindling attacks. My point? Terrorism is real and it will not just fade away because George W. and his father both decided to take a stand against the insanity. If you believe in the Domino Theory, an over-view of the world of the terrorist will reveal that a larger country than Iraq may lie in his future. There are already countless acts of terrorism being practiced there. The Chinese have even shown an interest. Read some of the news stories from India. This is a country we have no small commitment to. Does that help to clarify things a bit? It probably wouldn't hurt to say a few prayers for India's future.

One thing becomes evident from the Bible concerning war. That is when the Lord truly makes a decision to bring war upon a people; whole cities can disappear off the face of the earth. Sodom and Gomorah, the twin cities Abraham chose to fight disappeard in a hail of fire from above. The geographical location where these twin cities once were is now completely covered by water. Jericho was torn down by the shouts of the children of Israel. The wall of Jericho was pushed completely off its foundation and the location of Ai, the city which was near to Jericho has yet to be established. Archaeologists are still fighting over that one. The Lord commanded Joshua to burn Ai completely and on the second assault there were no inhabitants left in the city. In those times when someone said they had run out of people to kill, it wasn't a joke.

Jeremiah 49:3

3 Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.
Is. 32-11; ch. 48:7

Robert D. Of course, some of them are family but you have to start somewhere. We are lucky to have people who can engineer a means of making the icomputer a friendly device. We've seen the worst that this technology can offer, I hope. For all of the distractions, cell phones have proved to be a better way of communicating. It is, however, difficult to relate the complexities of life on the phone. I have tried to organize useful tools for making use of web technology for the benefit of many people. That is the narrow gate and there are a few who take it.
